Time difference: + 7 hours in the summer compared to Paris and Brussels

Administrative formalities: A visa is not required for a stay of under 3 months. The presentation of a valid passport (valid until the date of return) is mandatory to be admitted into the territory. Please note that if you are transiting through another Asian country, a passport validity of at least 6 months on the day of arrival is required by most other Asian countries. Minors must have an individual passport.

Health formalities and precautions: No vaccination is required to travel to Japan

Voltage and adapters: 100 volts, unlike France (220-230 volts). You will need an adapter to use your electrical appliances.  

Tips: Tipping is not customary in Japan, it is included as a surcharge in prices.
